Here is a schedule at an elementary school in Senegal.
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays:
8:00 - 11:00 Classes
11:00 - 11:30 Breaking time
11:30am - 1:00pm Classes
Tuesdays and Thursdays:
Schools reopen for classes from 16:00 to 18:00.
Children take lessons for 5 hours on weekdays. (for 7 hours only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.)
There is the break time between classes from 11:00 to 11:30.
Most children buy snacks this time.
When the break time is about to start, women from the neighborhood gather at the school with snacks. Then, when the time begins, the children swarm there at once.
They buy bread, snacks, ice cream and eat them.
Most of foods are compact-sized that can be bought for 25 FCFA (5 yen).
These 30 minutes are the chance to talk to all the children in the school.
After one talk, they learn my name and greet me.
Some kids even share their snack with me like a proof of friendship.
I can say that children are looking forward to this break time more than anything.
And the time goes by so fast.

月、水、金。
8時〜11時 授業
11時〜11時半 休み
11時半〜13時 授業 で終わり。
（火、木だけ 16時〜18時に再登校して授業）
子供たちは、平日は5時間（火、木だけプラス２時間で７時間）を受けます。
授業の合間の11時〜11時半には休み時間があります。
この時間の使い方ですが、ほとんどの子供は「おやつ」を買います。
休み時間が始まりそうな時間になると、近所からおやつを持った女性陣が学校に集結します。
そして、休み時間が始まると一気に子供たちが群がります。
パンやお菓子、アイスなどを買って食べています。
25フラン（5円）で買えるコンパクトサイズのものが多いです。
この30分間は、全校の子供たちと話せるチャンスです。
1回話すと名前を覚えてくれて、あいさつしてくれるようになります。
友好の証、みたいな感じでおやつを分けてくれる子もいます。
子供たちを見ていると、とにかくこの休み時間が楽しみなのが分かります。
そして、あっという間に過ぎ去っていきます。
