Just now it’s during summer vacation in Senegal.
The family I live together consists of the father, mother, 11 children.
Among 11 children, 4 children live in the house together now.
There's a difficulty.
Some relatives also stay in the house, and they are changing everyday.
So it is too hard for me to remember them.
I first greet a new member when we meet. And I ask the name, and write it down to my notebook.
What does the title mean?
We all about 10 people eat meals sitting around this bowl.
This bowl's diameter is about 50cm, which is quite big.
We ate "Couscous" with the source I cannot express the taste exactly.
There's a big table in the house, but they are eating the food putting on the ground outside!
One of their culture is eating food on the floor.
Some people eat with very small chairs, the others eat crouching or sitting on the ground directly.
In addition to that, one of their culture is eating by hand. They don't care if the food cooked oily. Some people eat by spoons or forks, though.
Before eating, there's no culture they wash their hands carefully different with Japanese culture. They wash their hands with water in one bowl. They use the same water.

私がホームステイしているセネガルの家族は、
大黒柱の父。そして、母。
子供が11人いて、そのうちの４人がこの家に住んでいます。
ここから難しいところ。
いとこなどが大勢来ていて、毎日泊まってるため、10人くらいの親戚がいます。
毎日新しい顔が入れかわり立ちかわりなので、
その度にあいさつ→名前聞く→メモ、という流れで人を覚えています。
全方位、手。とは？
このボウルに入っているご飯を10人ほどで囲んで、【全方位、手】の状況で食べるのです。
ボウルは直径50㎝くらいです。
この日は「クスクス」に、何とも言えない味のソースをかけて食べました。
家の中にはテーブルがあるのに、家の外の地面にボウルを直接置いて食べるのです。
床で食べる文化です。
イスがある人は、銭湯にあるようなゲタみたいな低いイスに座り、
イスがない人はしゃがむ、または地面に座って食べます。
さらに、素手で食べる文化があります。
油ものの料理でもかまわずに、お家の人は素手でいきます。
中には、スプーンやフォークで食べる人もいます。
食事前、念入りに手を洗うという文化はなく、衛生面の感覚は日本と大きく違っています。
手は、入れ物に入った水に、チャプチャプとつけて、手洗いとしています。
みんなで１つのボウルに入った水を使っているのです。
