2 weeks has already passed since I started the homestay and the language training.

The next assignment is to teach children using the local language, Wolof!

It would be a quite difficult task.

I had my idea which had already corrected by the language school teacher, and I practiced the lesson against the children at home.

The subject is arithmetic.

I tried to have them write an addition equation, "8 + 8 = 16,"  but I couldn't lead them to write it.

Because I couldn't convey the word "equation" to children in the local language, so they couldn't understand what I told them.

This happening was just 5 minutes later since I started the practice.

I thought I had to add some ways to communicate using some tools other than words.

I'm in a world where Japanese is not understood at all.

By the way, now it is the 16th day of my homestay.

I have encountered many cockroaches so far.

They live even in Africa, not just Japan! They are always in the bathroom, and they are always on the walls, the same position!

African cockroaches have a little longer legs than Japanese ones, but they are almost the same size as large Japanese ones.

Recently I got one of them out of the bathtub and he went out to the hallway.

A 15-year-old girl in the house. I told her, "He went that way!"

Bang!

She stepped on the cockroach with her flip flops she was wearing.

Done!

Recently, a cockroach made a surprise appearance in the way I never expected.

I took off my flip flops when I bathed.

After bathing, I put on my sandals again.

Back to the room

He appeared from the back of my sandal I was wearing.

What the hell!

Will they appear in my house in the near future?

How will I deal with inginite cockroaches?

At the same time, new member appeared in my room!

It is a gecko, which is a house guard.

They would protect the house by eating pests.

He was still a small baby.
