4 days have already passed since I arrived in Louga town.
On the first day, I went to the Louga Regional Teacher Training Center where I was assigned. I greeted with new boss who was a man.
This building is a so-called "Teacher School". The students in the school will become school teachers.
My specific field of work is "Primary education", so basically I will be supporting students who will become teachers and people who have already worked as teachers in elementary schools.
Nothing has been decided yet what I do with students and teachers.
After greeting, I headed to a new house I would live.
The property has three rooms, two toilets, and two showers.
It is spacious!
It seems that there are no properties for single in Louga. I understood the reason volunteers live in properties for families.
I just mede a contract. There is nothing in the room yet.
Really nothing!
No electricity, no water from the faucet!
How do I live now?
I'm staying at a house other volunteer lives in near my house.
So now I live in other's house as a freeloader.
I need to buy furniture from now on. And I have to proceed to make contracts for electricity and water little by little.
I'm a borrower for now.
任地ルーガに来てから4日経過。
初日は配属先の「ルーガ州教員養成センター」へあいさつに行きました。
この配属先は「学校の先生になる学生を教える学校」。
いわゆる「教員養成校」です。
私の活動の分野は「小学校教育」で、これから先生になる学生や既に先生をしている人たちへの教育の質を向上するためのサポート役になります。
どのように活動していくか、決まっていることは何もありません。
その後、引っ越し先の家へ向かいました。
今回の物件は、なんと部屋3つ、トイレ2つ、シャワー2つ付き。
広いっ！
ルーガに一人暮らし用の物件はないようで、ボランティアは家族が借りる用の物件に住みます。
契約をしただけで、何もない部屋です。
本当に何もない。
電気もつかないし、水も出ない！
どうしているかというと、ルーガには他のボランティア隊員が少し離れたところに住んでいるので、その先輩の家に泊まっています。
なので、今は人の家に居候（いそうろう）の身。
これから自力で家具を揃え、電気、水道の契約をして、1つずつ進めていく必要があります。
今のところ、借りぐらし。
