When phone calls are gotten even in the middle of conversations, Senegalese will quickly answer the phone without saying a word and suddenly start a conversation saying "Allô!". Allô means "Hello".In Japan, people would say, "May I take the call?
There is a cultural difference.
Once I get used to it, I can understand this is the way it should be in Senegal, but I was surprised at first. The cultural differences are countless.
This is Senegalese coffee called "Café Touba".
I often hear the word "Touba" in conversations, so I looked it up.
Touba is the name of a region in Senegal, which is a holy place for Muslim in Senegal.
This café Touba is ridiculously sweet.
And the standard Senegalese tea "Ataya" also is used a lot of sugar in it, which is also ridiculously sweet. Senegalese people drink this coffee and tea every day.
Senegalese like sweet drinks and spicy food.
セネガル人は会話をしている最中でも、電話がかかってくれば何も言わずスッと電話を取り出し、いきなり「allô（アロー）＝もしもし」と会話を始めます。
日本では一言「電話出てもいいですか？」とか断りを入れてから出たり出なかったりしますよね。
文化の差があります。
慣れてしまえばこういうものかと思いますが、最初は驚きました。
文化の違いは尽きません。

「トゥーバ」は会話でよく聞く言葉だったので調べてみました。
トゥーバは、セネガルにある地域の名前でイスラム教のセネガル人にとっての「聖地」です。
このカフェトゥーバはとんでもなく甘いです。
そして、セネガルの定番のお茶「アタヤ」にも大量の砂糖が入っていて、これまたとんでもなく甘いです。
これを毎日セネガル人は飲んでいるのです。
セネガル人は甘いものが好きで、辛いものが好き。
