A ceremony was held for all of us, 12 volunteers from Japan. We are going to our each regions assigned, which are in the countryside. Finally, my new life will begin in the region.
I've been waiting for this moment. Some of us will leave tomorrow for their assigned areas by car. In case of me, the leaving the day will be the day after tomorrow.
Our domitory life in a big house will be finishing in Dakar city.
The main means of transportation in Dakar are mainly taxis and buses.
Most of the taxis are old models and damaged on their body parts. I often saw them being repaired on the streets, motorcycles being repaired as well.
Senegalese basically think, "Keep using things until they are no longer useful."
I used to throw things away as soon as they broke in Japan.
After knowing the Senegalese way of thinking, I sewed my own broken pencil case.
When it comes to transportation, there are three or four types of buses (I haven't fully grasped them exactly), and their fares are cheaper than taxis.
This kind of clorful buses are the bus I often take.
The buses stop anywhere on the main street.
People can stop buses for getting on and off.
This is how to stop the bus.
We have to point with a finger and make a sound like "Pousouuuu!".
I thought that no one can hear the "pousou" sound at the beginning.
But surprisingly, I can hear from far away.
In Dakar, someone is making a sound somewhere today again.
"Pousouuuu!"
今日は、私たち同期ボランティア（全部で12人）がそれぞれの任地（首都ダカール以外の地方）へ派遣される壮行式が行われました。
いよいよ、それぞれの活動の拠点に散っていき、本格的に始動します。
私はこの時を待っていました。
方面ごとに違う車に乗って、早い人は明日から任地へ出発します。
私の場合、あさって任地へ出発します。
今の首都での他の同期ボランティアとの共同生活が終わります。
ダカールでの主な移動手段は、タクシーやバスでした。
タクシーは、走っているほとんどの車が古く、傷だらけで、街中でよく修理をしているのを見ます。バイクを修理しているところもよくみます。
セネガルの人は「物は使えなくなるまで使い続ける」というのが基本の考え方です。
私は、今までならものが壊れたらすぐに捨てていました。
セネガル人の物への考え方を知って、自分のもう壊れかけていたペンケースを糸で縫ってみました。
バスは3, 4種類あって（把握しきれてないです）タクシーよりも安く乗れます。
よく乗るバスはこのカラフルなバスです。
大通りならどこでも止まってくれます。
乗る時も、降りる時も。
バスに乗る時は、指をさして「プスゥー」っと言う。
これがバスの止め方です。
「プスゥー」なんて音「絶対聞こえないでしょ！」と思っていましたが、
これが意外にもよく聞こえるものなんです！
ダカールでは今日もどこかでだれかが音を鳴らします。
