Senegalese common things,
"Everybody is never on time"
Not about some people, everybody in Senegal are.
For example, at the language school, classes were scheduled from "what time to what time". However, they never started on time and never finished on time as well.
Most of the time, the time falls behind, and then the following schedule falls more behind.
At the "Teacher Training Center" where I am currently working, the start time of working is set at 8AM. It is quite early, but no one follows the time at all.
So, if I keep the Japanese sense of punctuality, I'm always waiting. However, I'm still trying to be on time even if no one shows up so far.
I'm keeping my own sense of the time, I'm training the tolerance for waiting.
Since it is hot outside, half frozen juice is sold on the street.
On the left is "Bisap" juice. Bisap means "Hibiscus".
On the right is a mix juice of milk, banana, and coconut.
Both are delicious, but they are just sweet!
The sweetness is extreme.
The bottles are already used.
On the right, the cap and the bottle are different.
Both are worn out and I can tell they were collected from someone's trash.
Sanitation is not good.
These bottles are sold on the street, so it is difficult to keep them cold without freezers, and sometimes they are almost melted.
But sometines I suddenly have a craving for this ridiculously sweet drink.

「時間に関しての感覚がかなりゆるい。」
「ある人が」ではなく、「国全体が」です。
例えば、
語学学校では、授業が「何時〜何時」が決まっていました。
時間ちょうどに始まることは一度もありませんでしたし、ちょうどに終わるということもありませんでした。
大体は時間が後ろにずれ、次の時間にくい込み、次の時間もおす、みたいな感じになります。
今、私が通う教員養成センターの出勤時間は「8時」と決まっています。
結構早めに設定されていますが、きっちり守っている人は誰もいないのです。
ということで、日本の"時間ぴった"の感覚でいると、
常に待ちぼうけをくらうことになります。とはいえ、今のところ人は来なくとも時間を守るように意識しています。
自分の日本の時間感覚はキープし、
待ち耐性をつける。
外は暑いので、路上ではやや凍っているジュースが売られています。
左は、ビサップジュース。
ビサップは、ハイビスカスのことです。
右は、ミルク、バナナ、ココナッツのMIXジュースです。
どちらも美味しいですが、とにかく甘い！
甘さが極まっています。

右は、キャップとペットボトルが違います。
どちらもボロボロのもので、誰かが捨てたゴミを回収したものと分かります。
衛生面は、かなりざっくりです。
このジュースは、路上で売られているので、冷たさを冷凍庫なしでキープすることは難しく、ほぼ溶けて売られていることもあります。
突然、このとんでもない甘い飲み物が飲みたくなるのです。
