There is a festival named "Magal Touba", which is a Muslim festival on the 28th of October.
Touba is the name of a region in Senegal that is a holy place for Muslims.
On the holiday, people from all over Senegal gather at a large mosque in Touba to celebrate the day.
A Senegalese said happily, "We eat a lot of food together."
During this period, all taxis in front of my house and all other vehicles are going to Touba.
The day before the holiday was very busy day because It seemed everyone in the region were heading to Touba.
On the holiday, many people had gone to Touba, the area I live became very quiet.
The only sounds were birdsong.
I heard that there are many accidents every year because the traffic is more crowded than usual.
So, JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) warned us, "Don't move from the area where you live!"
That's why I played catch with children in the neighborhood.
I brought my gloves to Senegal.
I still have not seen baseball tools in Senegal, but I found a handmade ball made by a child!

「トゥーバ」とは、セネガルにある地域の名前で、イスラム教徒の聖地です。
祝日の日には、トゥーバにある大きなモスク（礼拝堂）にセネガル中から人が集まってお祝いをするそうです。
「たくさんの料理をみんなで食べるんだ。」と知り合いのセネガル人が嬉しそうに言っていました。
この期間は、家の前にあるタクシー乗り場からのタクシーや地方を行き来している乗り物が全てトゥーバ行きになります。
私の住む地域全員がトゥーバに行く勢いで、祝日の前日はすごく賑やかでした。
たくさんのセネガル人がトゥーバへ行った日曜日はものすごく静かになりました。
聞こえてきたのは鳥の鳴き声くらいでした。
この時期は毎年交通量がいつもより増えるので事故が多いそうです。
そのため、JICA（ジャイカ）からは「住んでいる地域から動かないで」という注意を受けました。
私は近所で子供たちとキャッチボールをしました。
