I am in a town in the region of Louga, Senegal.
The day expected high temperature of 42 degrees Celsius is coming soon.
I live alone in a rented room.
None of JICA(Japan International Cooperation Agency) staff members live in the town.
Although I occasionally meet other JICA volunteers I am basically alone.
In my daily life, there are many days when I don't speak Japanese.
But I haven't seen dreams in French or Wolof local language yet.
I sometimes talk to myself in the house, but I don't talk for long.
I just occasionally murmur a few words in Japanese.
In my head, I'm thinking in Japanese.
And in my mind, I talk to myself in Japanese.
The more I study French and Wolof, the more questions I ask myself.
It is, "When did I acquire Japanese?" This question repeats itself every day.
I will continue to learn the language in order to move up to a higher level.
I will also continue to write this blog because I think it is important to post my opinion in Japanese.

今、私がいる町は、セネガルのルーガという地方の町です。
もう少しすると、予想最高気温が42℃の日がきます。
私は借りている家で１人暮らしをしています。
私が所属するJICA（ジャイカ）の職員はこの町には１人も住んでいません。
協力隊員同士でたまに会うことはありますが、基本的には日々１人で行動しています。
日々の生活では、日本語を話さない日が何日も続きます。
覚えてる限りまだフランス語の夢は見ていません。
家の中で独り言を話す、とは言ってもベラベラと長く話すことはありません。
一言たまにつぶやきます日本語で。
頭の中で、考えるのもやはり日本語です。
そして、心の中ではかなりの量の日本語を話しています。
フランス語、ウォロフ語の勉強をすればするほど、自分にぶつける疑問があります。
それは「いつ、俺は日本語を話せるようになった？」という疑問。
この自問は日々リピートされています。
生活ができるレベルからもう少し上のレベルになるため、語学は学び続けていきます。
日本語の発信も大事だと考えているので、このブログも続けていきます。
暑さの中、動物たちも食糧確保に必死。
