I got the certificate of completion of the language school "Adesina".
After I passed a last exam, I finally graduated.
Yesterday, I was asked a question by the children of my homestay family, "What is your Japanese name?"
"My name is Yuta." I answered.
They repeated it to remember it.
To tell the truth, during staying with the homestay family, I had been spent my liife using a Senegalese name a family gave me.
The other volunteer peers also received their Senegalese names from their each homestay family and had used the Senegalese names.
My Senegalese name is "Sahad."
The family was the ethnic called "Serer", and the family name was "Tine", which was a unique name from the ethnic.
That's why my name is "Sahad Tine."
When I used my new name at first, I felt that it didn't belong to me.
I had never used my initials S.
While staying in an unknown town, many people called me my new name. And it became a part of me.
Interestingly, some Senegalese had their Japanese names. They might have them because they met someone from Japan.
Through homestaying, I encountered local people and their culture, and the experiences became a piece of my heart.
I said goodbye to the host family and friends I met in Thiès.
I returned to Dakar city, which is the capital city, to prepare for my original assignment.

セネガルの現地語であるウォロフ語の学校「アデシナ」の修了証。
最後のテストを通過して、いよいよ卒業です。
昨日、ホームステイの子供たちが、日本についての質問をしてきた中の１つに、
「日本の名前は、何ていうの？」
「名前は、ゆうた。」
と教えると、繰り返し言って、覚えてくれました。
実は、ホームステイをしていた３週間の生活で、私はそのホームステイの家族からもらったセネガルの名前で生活していました。
他のボランティアの隊員もそれぞれのホームステイの家で名前をもらって、セネガルの名前で生活していました。
名前は、「Sahad（サハッド）」
家の人はセネガルのセレール族という民族で、家族の苗字は「Tine（ティン）」
私の名前は「Sahad Tine（サハッド ティン）」
新しい名前を口にしたとき、はじめは自分のものではないような感じがしました。
イニシャルのSは名乗ったことない。
生活して、色んな人にその名前を呼ばれ、私の一部になっていきました。
逆に、誰かが付けてくれたのか、
セネガル人で日本名をもっている人もいます。
3週間のホームステイで広がった私にとってのセネガル。
ティエスで出会った仲間に別れを告げ、
任地へ向かうための準備をしに、首都ダカールへ戻ります。
