Students in elementary school carry backpacks every day.
They always have notebooks, pens, they rarely use the pencil case, though. And then, there is an "ardoise".
What's that?
When I first heard about it, I had no idea what it was.
It is actually a standard item used by Senegalese students.
This small blackboard is an "ardoise."
Children write on the tool with chalk. They use a lot of times in every lessons.
When erasing letters, they wipe the letters with wet sponge.
A bucket of water is placed in the classroom to wet it.
If it's a new ardoise, it's better, though, a worn-out ardoise being used for a long time has a bumpy surface that makes it quite difficult to write letters.
What we should learn from Senegalese is that they are taking good care of things and using them for a long time!
小学生の子供たちは毎日リュックを背負って登校します。
その中に必ず入ってるものは、ノート、ペン、（筆箱はほとんどの子が使っていないです。）
そして「アルドワーズ」です。
何それ？
初めて聞いた時、どんな物か思い浮かびませんでした。
実際にセネガルの小学生が使う定番アイテムです。
小さい黒板のような物が、アルドワーズ。
チョークで書きます。どの授業でもたくさん使われます。
文字を消す時は、水でぬらしたスポンジでふくという方法を使います。
そして、スポンジをぬらすための水の入ったバケツが教室に置かれています。
新しいアルドワーズならまだましなのですが、
長く使っているぼろぼろのアルドワーズは表面がでこぼこなので、文字を書く練習や計算に使うにはかなり難しいです。
見習うべきことは、物を大事に長く使うところがセネガル人はすごい！
