This road leads to the language school I'm learning Wolof language.
It takes about 10 minutes on foot from my homestay's house to get to school called "Adeshina."
This road is not paved, just dirt road. Depending on the street, the road is only fluffy sand. I'm commuting to school on Monday to Saturday.
Right after leaving home, I encountered a wild pig.
The pig was coming close to me little by little, so I felt in danger.
But he was looking for something to eat, he was not interested in me at all.
Like this, wild animals exsit very close to people here.
I've just started studying Wolof language in school from today.
I go to school at 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM.
All Senegalese think the salutation is very important.
They greet with each person when they see someone every time.
There is a wide variety of greeting conversations.
In today's lesson, I learned those greeting conversations all day!
I couldn't memorize all of them because there are too many!
In Japan, if I say, 'Good morning', the greeting is over, isn't it?
I'm going to show you the greeting culture next time.
学校へ向かう道です。
ホームステイ先から歩いて10分のところにウォロフ語の学校「アデシナ」があります。
道は特に舗装されていなく、土の道が続きます。道によっては、ほとんどふわっふわの砂です。
月〜土曜日が学校です。
家を出るとすぐに、野放しの豚に遭遇。
だんだん近づいてきて、身の危険を感じましたが、
エサを探してたようで、全く興味をもたれませんでした。
このように野生の動物は身近に存在しています。
今日からウォロフ語の勉強が始まりました。
朝は7時半に学校へ行き、18時まで学校にいました。
セネガル人は、あいさつを重んじる文化をもっています。
会った時に毎回あいさつを交わします。
あいさつの会話の量が非常に多いのが特徴です。
今日の授業では、なんと一日中人と会った時のあいさつについて学びました。覚えきれません！日本だったら「おはよう！」って言えば、あいさつはいったん終わりますよね。
セネガルのあいさつ文化を今度また紹介します。
