Recently I commute to the "Teacher Training Center" every day.
I was told about a school bus for the students, so I sometimes get on the bus.
This bus service will continue till the end of September.
If so, I will have to walk for about an hour to get to work again. (But I'm actually quite used to it).
Why does its service end in September?
Because the lectures in the Teacher Training Center will end in September.

I've heard that the teacher training period is nine months in Senegal.
Students who enroll in January will graduate from school after the final examination in September, and they will start working as teachers immediately.
Teaching practice in schools is included in the 9 months of teacher traininig period.
The teaching practice in Senegal is 15 days x 4 places (elementary schools and kindergartens) for a total of 60 days.
To obtain a teaching license in Senegal, students will have 9 months of training (including 2 months of teaching practice). This period seems much shorter than in Japan.
And It is possible for a student to become a teacher as early as 20 years old.
However, they say that the entrance exam is so difficult, as evidenced by the fact that some students continue to take the exam for years.

It seems that the order of the result of the final exam determines where they work around Senegal.
There are about 250 students in the school. It seems that the top 30 students are assigned to locations they want to work, and after that, other students are assigned to work in a countryside.

配属先の教員養成センターに日々通ってます。
生徒（教員の卵）が使っているスクールバスを教えてもらったので、バスに乗って通っています。
このスクールバスは、9月末で運行が終わるそうです。
また長々と1時間くらい歩いて通う日々（実は結構慣れた）がやってくるのかぁ。
なんで9月で終わり？
そう、9月で講義が終わるからです。

セネガルでは、教員養成の期間が9ヶ月間だそうです。
1月に入学した生徒は9月の最終試験を終えると教員養成校を卒業し、すぐに教員として働き始めるそうです。
セネガルでの教育実習は9ヶ月の教員養成の間に、
15日×4ヶ所（小学校、幼稚園）計60日の教育実習を行います。
セネガルで教員免許を取るには、9ヶ月間（内、2ヶ月間教育実習）かかると考えると、日本と比べて期間がかなり短く感じます。
早い人で20歳から教員になることができるそうです。
しかし、何年も受験し続ける人がいることから分かるように、入学時のテストのハードルは高いそうです。
生徒の話によると、
最終試験の成績順に勤務する場所が決まるみたいです。
約250人生徒がいて、30位までの生徒は優先的に勤務地に振り分けられ、それ以降は遠くの地方勤務に振り分けられるみたいな感じだそうです。
なんと分かりやすい成績至上主義！
